This allows your dentist to carry out an 18 point check and ensure that your smile is healthy before we start the teeth whitening process. Any dental disease should be addressed before teeth whitening.
A digital scan of your teeth is taken, from this your teeth whitening trays will be constructed. A pre-whitening teeth shade is also taken, so that we can record this and compare the success of your treatment at the end. We use Enlighten teeth whitening, which is a market leading system, it guarantees a shade B1 result.

First, a custom tray is made which fits snugly over your teeth. This will be filled with a whitening agent which will work to gradually lighten teeth. You will use this for a few hours at home every day until you have achieved the level of whiteness that you want. This is usually seen over two weeks or so.
Over time teeth become stained and discoloured as the result of consuming beverages such as tea, coffee, and red wine, or smoking. Discolouration is also a normal part of our teeth ageing.
You may not notice it at first but as you get older tooth discolouration becomes more obvious, leaving you feeling that you look older than you are. This can lead to a loss of confidence and can quickly affect how you see yourself in social or work situations.
This depends on a variety of factors including how well you look after your teeth and how well you can avoid foods and drinks which will stain your teeth again. Generally though, the results from our professional tooth whitening treatment can last up to around 3 years.
